The monumental collection of Iberian music known as the Flores de Música opens up to us in these new arrangements for viol consort and Spanish triple harp.
Compiled in the first years of the 18th century, the 5 volumes present hundreds of pieces of music by mainly unknown composers, gathered by the monk, organist and composer António Martín y Coll. In this program we will present a wide selection of pieces, from tientos and fabordones, to song variations and dances. The influence of South American music is felt throughout the program, especially in the at the time novel dance forms of the canarios, chaconas, marionas and xacarás.

We are proud to be able to perform in this, one of the most beautiful and interesting spaces in Belgium today. At la Bellone we will present a program that goes hand in hand with the building itself - half ancient, half modern.
Four viols present music from 16th-century Italy, as well as present-day Estonia and England. The dances of the ancient times blend with almost spiritual notes of today in an hour-long program that works to transport the listener into new worlds of sound and music.
The program includes unique arrangements and compositions with music by composers such as Sances, Marini and Trabaci, Pärt and Bryars.
